Webmaster and Technology Consultant | Auburn University, AL

Help prepare and run a myriad of STEM programs including BEST Robotics, Summer Science Institute, Robotics University and others that have involved thousands of K-12 students and hundreds of teachers.
Oversee and distribute 24 MacBooks, 30 iPads and other technology for the various teacher trainings and student programs.
Manage the main website that serves info for each of our programs and designed and developed stand alone websites for both the War Eagle BEST and South’s BEST Robotics competitions.
Head scorekeeper and webmaster for both War Eagle BEST and the South’s BEST Regional Robotics Championship that have involved 240 schools and thousands of students in 2013, 2014, and 2015.

Summer Electrical and Software Intern | Bessemer, AL

Worked on my own projects as well as projects alongside the two other Electrical Engineers the summer after graduating high school.
Developed a system of tracking surgical equipment in and out of operating rooms using different RFID tags and an RFID reader that was programmed using C# in Visual Studio.
Prototyped a remote pet feeder with video chat capabilities using a Raspberry Pi and basic Python code along with APIs and the framework for the Raspberry Pi.
Observed the development of a fully automated robotic arm that sealed the dashboard system of a car using a heated end effector.

Involvement

Leader of The Jungle, Auburn Basketball's Student Section | October 2014 - Present

Oversee the Marketing, Campus Involvement, Media, and In-Game Operations sections of the Jungle Leadership Team.
Worked directly with Auburn Athletics and Auburn Men’s Basketball to promote and organize home basketball games as well as coordinated cheers during games.
Created and evaluated applications to bring on 10 more members to the Jungle Leadership Team for the 2015-2016 season.

Major Projects

Auburn Disc Golf | Android

Auburn Disc Golf is a simple guide to the disc golf course on Auburn University’s campus that also provides a scorekeeping system for users. I stored images for the course locally within the app and used a simple SQLite database to keep track of scores. This was my first major Android application and was published in the fall of 2013.

War Eagle BEST and South's BEST Websites | HTML, Bootstrap

In the summer of 2015 I redesigned and redeveloped the websites for our War Eagle BEST and South’s BEST Robotics Competitions. In order to keep things simple, I opted to use basic HTML for the content and styled each site using the Bootstrap framework. These sites are used by teachers and students competing in the competitions so that they can receive news and updated information.

The Jungle Times | PHP, Ruby on Rails, Sass

The Jungle Times is an independent Auburn basketball blog that I designed and developed from scratch first using PHP and then later using Ruby on Rails. The site is a simple blog with a client side editor for adding articles and forum posts. I used Sass to style the site as I find it easier to work with than normal CSS. The Jungle Times was published first in June 2015 and then redone in September.

Auburn Basketball Stats | Meteor.js, Blaze, Sass

Auburn Basketball Stats is a visually pleasing, one stop site for all Auburn Basketball records and stats. I used Meteor.js mostly to make use of its live reloading that makes changing stat categories quick and seamless. I can add stats on the client side and they are then stored in a MongoDB collection. I used the Blaze front-end language built into Meteor and Sass for styling. First published in March 2016.
