The Jungle Times used to be a small "newspaper" that was produced for the student section at Auburn Basketball games that would have information about the opposing team and their players along with other random, useful information for the current situation around the team. In the summer of 2015, I set out to convert this "newspaper" to an online blog and teach myself PHP in the process. PHP was the first web back-end language that I fully learned and used. Unfortunately, I wasn't super proud of my work and quickly decided to re-do the website using Ruby on Rails just a few months after completing the original version. As this was also one of my first few websites I had made from scratch, I also opted to use Bootsrap as a way to get started with the styling quickly. While the final product didn't stick around for long, it was still a good learning experience using PHP, Bootstrap, and MySQL for the first time.
